Overview

The Integrated Smart System Design (ISSD) program is a unique four-year undergraduate course developed through a collaboration between the Unitedworld Institute of Design (UID) and Unitedworld Institute of Technology (UIT). This transdisciplinary program merges design and technology, empowering students to craft intelligent, user-centered systems that integrate advanced hardware, software, and “phygital” technologies—the seamless blend of the physical and digital realms. With a focus on sustainable and ethical innovation, the program prepares students to pioneer the future of smart systems across various industries.

Program Curriculum

The ISSD curriculum covers essential areas for designing interconnected and adaptive systems, including IoT, Autonomous Technologies, Mechatronics, and AIML (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning). Students engage in hands-on projects that emphasize real-world problem-solving, gaining insights into the impact of their designs on both the environment and society. The B.Des.
