The Bachelor of Spatial Experience Design program equips students with the tools and knowledge to craft innovative and memorable spatial experiences. By exploring the intersection of design, technology, and human behaviour, the program focuses to design spaces that evoke emotions, inspire creativity, and enhance the quality of life. The program integrates creative expression with technical expertise, fostering a deep understanding of materials, space, and human interaction. Students will develop proficiency in design software, communication skills, and entrepreneurial mindset. Through coursework in spatial planning, visualization, representation, anthropometry/ergonomics, phygital experiences, systems thinking, and service design, students will learn to create holistic and impactful experiences that address user needs and goals. Additionally, the program pedagogy includes emerging technologies and futuristic design possibilities, with a focus on the utilization of AI, algorithmic design, generative design, and IoT systems. The program will explore technological interfaces leveraged to create dynamic, responsive, and personalized spatial experiences. The program pursues a variety of careers in the spatial experience design industry, including experience design, interaction design, spatial planning, exhibition design, retail design, event planning, and design research. The program emphasizes human-centred, environmentally conscious, and socially responsible design, ensuring that graduates are equipped to create innovative, responsible, and future-forward spatial experiences that shape the world.
