Students of the Class of 2022- 2026 of the School of Interior & Furniture Design, visited one of Ahmedabad’s most popular heritage sites ‘Adalaj ni Vav’ (Adalaj Stepwell) under the guidance of Prof. Viraj Wadia, Prof. Kumud Kedia, Prof. Geeta Dixit today.
It’s a five-storeyed step well and is an approximately 500-year-old heritage structure. Students visited this site to understand the design language of this age-old structure which has beautifully and intricately carved columns, walls, sculptures, geometrically designed roofs and green water stored deep in the well.
It was a great learning experience for the students to understand the design principles & elements of design through experiencing live examples of Ahmedabad’s magnificent art, culture, and architecture.
