As a part of Distinguished Speaker Series, School of Lifestyle Accessory design had organised a guest lecture class by Mr. Kumar Pala, a renowned watch designer and owner of a well-known brand of watches called “LAMEX”.
He shared his valuable industrial-based experiences on the process of manufacturing, designing, sourcing, assembling, types of watches and its mechanisms, different components of watches in details etc.
He showed students his library of various samples/ specimens for different kinds of watch cases, mechanisms and movements, dials, straps, crown and appliques. Also, he shared very informative catalogues, books and brochures on luxurious watch companies from his collection.
At the same time, he allotted a small design project to be carried out by the students, to develop a range of watches taking inspiration from various fictional characters developed by Warner Bros’ creations.
