The Fashion & Lifestyle Department at Unitedworld Institute of Design (UID) was thrilled to host the latest edition of Open Seams, a dynamic platform that brought together students, alumni, and industry leaders to explore the ever-evolving world of fashion.
This vibrant event featured a series of engaging speaker sessions, hands-on workshops and an inspiring student exhibit, all aimed at bridging classroom learning with real-world practice. From design and styling to sustainability, textile innovation, branding and digital fashion, Open Seams offered a holistic view of the industry’s present and future.
We were honoured to welcome renowned voices like Aratrik Dev Varman, Jisha Unnikrishnan, Neha Dewan, and Gaurang Shah who shared powerful insights on fashion, textiles and cultural inclusion in design.
A special highlight was the return of our proud alumni Sahil Makhani, Priyal Thakkar and Saloni Jhaveri who brought real-world industry wisdom back to campus, inspiring our students to dream bigger and design bolder.
The event also featured an interactive eco-printing workshop led by Ms. Neha Dewan, along with a beautifully curated student exhibit inspired by Indian designers and artists, a true celebration of creativity and culture.
Open Seams 2025 wasn’t just an event it was a celebration of identity, innovation and industry connections.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to its success.
