At UID, our students recently participated in an inspiring three-day workshop led by the renowned Shingo Sato. Held from 22nd to 24th July 2025, this masterclass focused on sculptural garment construction and transformative design thinking. Every fold told a story of precision, passion, and imagination, offering a glimpse into the creative journey.
From the first sketch to the final stitch, students explored the endless possibilities of fashion under Shingo Sato’s guidance. Each day brought fresh challenges, new perspectives, and breakthroughs in creativity. The journey wasn’t just about mastering techniques; it was about unlocking imagination, pushing boundaries, and rediscovering the joy of hands-on creation.
Our students are walking away not only with enhanced skills but also with stories, memories, and a mindset to innovate fearlessly. Gratitude goes to the master of transformational reconstruction cutting, Shingo Sato, for inspiring a new generation of designers to see fabric differently.
