Students of UID Fashion Design UG4, got the opportunity to visit Ethnic Wear traditional textile store in Ahmedabad . This particular store is quite famous in and around Ahmedabad and has been on the shopping/visit list of renowned celebrities since last 35 years.
The visit was organised and accompanied by Associate Professor Manish Patel for the benefit of the students who will now dedicate the entire semester to design ethnic wear garments. It was conducted as part of their subject “Indigenous Fashion Industry”.
Students got a brilliant interactive session with the owners of the store “Sanskruti” who gave them the correct insight into the world of textiles for ethnic fashion.
They displayed the best of cotton/silk/viscose fabrics. Ikat fabrics, block printed fabrics, patch work fabrics and garments.
