We are thrilled to share that the project Present, Past and FUTURE designed by Tanmay Likhar, Idris Richwala and Lamya Safdari, students from the Interior Design Department at UID, emerged as the winning entry in The Park Elle Decor Student Contest organized by Elle Decor India in collaboration with Park Hotels.
Their visionary work was selected to be showcased at India Design ID 2025, one of the country’s most stylish and prestigious design platforms. The students were felicitated at The Park Booth on 21 February by Priya Paul, Chairperson of Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels, Mrudul Pathak Kundu, Editor of Elle Decor India and Ruchika Mehta, Corporate Director at Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels.
The winning project is a thoughtfully designed institutional library that addresses the evolving academic needs of students. Built on an existing structure, it beautifully blends elements of Gujarati heritage with sustainable architecture, creating a space that is both functional and deeply rooted in cultural context.
The project was mentored by Assistant Professors Deeksha Somaiya, Kriti Malkani and Zankruti Rawal, whose guidance helped bring this remarkable vision to life.
This recognition marks a proud moment for UID and a testament to the innovation and excellence our students continue to achieve.
