The students will learn to design solutions for athleisure wera balancing aesthetics,
trends, innovation, consumer expectations, budets and timelines.
Studio – Denim Wear
To gain a deep understanding of the prominent factors that affect the denim wear market
segment.

A programme open elective offered by the departments to give students the flexibility to
choose the courses in addition to their primary area of specialization.
PD1: User Experience Design
The course aims to describe the importance of the user-centred design process in UX and the
role of users.
PD2: Design for Circular Economy
To enable students to evaluate design decisions to adopt a healthier ecosystem for
responsible consumption. The ability to reflect systemic(macro) and individual(micro) levels
of impact through design.
Interior and Furniture Design (IFD)
IFD1: People and Environment
The course focuses on the principles of ethnographic research methods and
implementing them through forms and volumes that improve the experience of
the space’s occupants.
IFD2: Spatial Interaction
The course focuses on understanding the essentials of anthropometry and the ergonomics of
human beings as users of spaces and applying the fundamentals of anthropometry and the
ergonomics of people as users of interior spaces.
Animation and Digital Media (ADM)
ADM1: Stop Motion Animation
Define and apply the basic vocabulary of graphic novels and exhibit critical reading skills
and cognizance of multimodal writings.
ADM2: Introduction to Sound and Music
Analyzing and learning about sound recording instruments and the technical parts of sound
recording and different aspects of sound i.e. Foley, effects, voiceovers, music, etc.
Automobile and Transportation Design (ATD)
ATD1: Automotive Design Drawing I
Automotive Design Drawing is a course that focuses on teaching students the skills and
techniques required to draw automobiles. Students learn to create sketches, renderings, and
technical drawings of automotive designs using traditional and digital tools. The course
emphasizes the importance of form, proportion, and surface detailing in automotive
design.
ATD2: Physical Modelling I
A physical modelling course in automotive design teaches students how to create
three-dimensional models of vehicles using clay and other materials. Students learn how to
sculpt and refine their designs to create a realistic representation of a car’s exterior and
interior, using various tools and techniques.
VC1: Basic Typography
The course aims to develop student’s skills in typography, including principles,
classifications, and personalities, and their application in basic design projects. By the
end of the course, students should be able to exhibit sensitivity to formal variables in
typographic design, recognize and employ type classifications and personalities, and apply
their understanding of using type in visual communication.
VC2: Introduction to Theatre
This course aims to provide students with an understanding of the role of storytelling,
theatre, and performance in communication design, drawing connections between history,
region, culture, society, and economy.
IxD1: Microinteractions
Aim of the course is to understand why micro-interactions are important, the role of emotion
in engaging micro-interactions and in what type of contextsthey are applied and how to use
them.
IxD2: Introduction to Universal Design Systems
This course aims to expose students with concepts of desing for all, why universality is
important and in what type of UI contexts it can be applied.
GD1: Character Sculpting
The student will focus on making clay sculptures from human reference. As character modeling
is one of the most challenging things to perfect, the skills you acquire modeling the human
form will make you a better modeler all around.
GDS2: Matte Painting – I
On completing this course, students will be able to plan, research and design digital matte
paintings matching live-action footage. Create custom digital images using photographs and
digital painting techniques.
Apparel Lab 3 – Knits & Denim
Student will learn to handle the different knits and denim fabric and gain confidence for
garment construction on specialized sewing machines.
Fashion Merchandising
It aims to comprehend the industry workings in detail and the role of a merchandiser as a
stakeholder in the system.
3D Fashion
This course aims to modify patterns, fit, and fabrication, with the ability to view changes
in colors, prints, and graphics culminating in creating a presentation-ready 3D fashion
apparel.
Print Design
Demonstrate thorough understanding of prevalent technique and technology for block, screen,
digital and other contemporary printing techniques.
Fashion Promotion & Forecasting
Demonstrate leadership and problem-solving skills relevant to creative direction for fashion
media, and interpret knowledge and practice at the forefront of the discipline.
Apprenticeship
The course aims at creating new generation of practitioners of a trade or profession with
on-the-job training from experienced masters.
