Art, Design and Culture

The course aims to introduce a contemporary historical survey of trends in design history from the start of the new millennium into the present, with a focus on the media and information revolution, together with a trend within the design from object to experience, the study of Art movements through history and their impact on worldwide culture, i.e., art, architecture, crafts, apparel, etc.

Visualisation & Representation

This course aims to enhance manual dexterity with a focus on fundamental skills in both freehand and technical drawing methods, which serves as the foundation to use drawing as a tool for the representation of dimensional reality and creative imagination.

Material Exploration

This course introduces you to various kinds of materials their attributes, characteristics, and properties. It also aims at developing the ability and techniques to handle various materials.

Digital Tools – 1

An introductory course, which acquaints students with basic design software, enables them to present their ideas with the help of a digital medium. This aims to integrate digital media in multiple aspects of design and establishment of optimized workflows that involve the use of multiple digital tools.

Design Process

This course provides an overview of the design process i.e. the steps used to arrive at an innovative new product, system, or service. It offers an introduction to design and explains why one should leverage the process of design to develop new product ideas, drive innovation, and transform systems.

Model Making

Creative Coding is a practice, an experiential learning-based course designed to teach basic programming skills in the context to create something expressive like live visuals, visual art, and design, entertainment/video games, sound art, art installations, project mapping, product prototypes, advertising, and branding formats. This course aims to create a small human-machine interface with basic interaction using Arduino and processing and create interfaces between digital screens, sensors, and actuators.

The course focuses on the principles of ethnographic research methods and implementing them through forms and volumes that improve the experience of the space’s occupants.

The course focuses on understanding the essentials of anthropometry and the ergonomics of human beings as users of spaces and applying the fundamentals of anthropometry and the ergonomics of people as users of interior spaces.
Animation and Digital Media (ADM)
ADM1: Stop Motion Animation
Define and apply the basic vocabulary of graphic novels and exhibit critical reading skills and cognizance of multimodal writings.
ADM2: Introduction to Sound and Music

Automobile and Transportation Design (ATD)
ATD1: Automotive Design Drawing I
Automotive Design Drawing is a course that focuses on teaching students the skills and techniques required to draw automobiles. The course emphasizes the importance of form, proportion, and surface detailing in automotive design.
ATD2: Physical Modelling I
A physical modelling course in automotive design teaches students how to create three-dimensional models of vehicles using clay and other materials. Students learn how to sculpt and refine their designs to create a realistic representation of a car’s exterior and interior, using various tools and techniques.
Visual Communication
VC1: Basic Typography
The course aims to develop student’s skills in typography, including principles, classifications, and personalities, and their application in basic design projects. By the end of the course, students should be able to exhibit sensitivity to formal variables in typographic design, recognize and employ type classifications and personalities, and apply their understanding of using type in visual communication.
VC2: Introduction to Theatre
This course aims to provide students with an understanding of the role of storytelling, theatre, and performance in communication design, drawing connections between history, region, culture, society, and economy.
Game Deisgn & Simulation
GDS1:Game Character Sculpting
The student will focus on making clay sculptures from human reference. As character modeling is one of the most challenging things to perfect, the skills you acquire modeling the human form will make you a better modeler all around.
GDS2: Matte-painting-I
On completing this course, students will be able to plan, research and design digital matte paintings matching live-action footage. Create custom digital images using photographs and digital painting techniques.
